"Design a background for amfAR’s NFT collection"
About:
amFAR is one of the world's leading non-profit organisations with the aim of ending the global aids epidemic through innovative research. Since 1985, amfAR has invested nearly $617 million in its programs and has awarded more than 3,500 grants to research teams worldwide.
The Brief:
This brief tasked us to create background art for amFAR's new NFT collection, which will raise funds to support more aids research, HIV prevention and treatment education.
This is my answer to the brief - "United through Knowledge"
"United Through Knowledge"
This is a visual representation of what research and knowledge create: hope, equality, positivity, power and togetherness, which Pride month celebrates. amFAR’s research makes sure there is hope in sight for ending the aids epidemic. Inspired by the aids awareness symbol, the art visually symbolises a hug-like protective barrier and intertwines all of the above aspects in an infinite loop. Briefed during pride month, I wanted to make sure the colour schemes and metaphorical themes were related. I also made sure to use amFAR’s blue. Through research and knowledge, we are united and stronger.
