With the existence of fast fashion and a rise in awareness of ethical clothes shopping among Gen Z (43% of Gen Z consider where and how their clothes are made before buying, Sheffield Hallam University, 2022), Depop can now position itself as one of the top and convenient options to buy clothes and accessories. You can find everyday items for less, that will last you a lifetime and with fast fashion, and that just isn’t the case. Introducing “Life Makes Sense with Depop,” a promotional campaign highlighting the convenience of Depop in our everyday lives. Depop is now the air that we breathe; so common that we don’t have to think twice about using it.

As the audience focus is Gen Z, the design has taken on a bright, retro style that naturally fits our audiences' preferences, along with a few of Depop’s existing visual styles. The main Campaign features an advertisement for YouTube and cable TV, and corresponding out-of-home billboards and posters placed in commuting and shopping hubs. The campaign includes a sub-social campaign detailed below.

Summer Social Campaign - Depop X Coca-Cola
With summer around the corner, Depop and Coca-Cola have teamed up to extend Depop’s "Life Makes Sense with Depop" campaign. They've released a limited edition Coke can that doubles as room decor and is positioned as the summer's must-have drink. Promoted across the web, Instagram, and TikTok, the collaboration aims to blend fashion, sustainability, and summer joy. Each can features a QR code for purchasers to enter the new holiday competition, offering winners all-inclusive trips to one of three top European destinations. Use #DepopXCola on TikTok or Instagram Reels to showcase your summer outfit featuring the can for a chance to win £3,000.
