Suppressing emotions- whether it's anger, sadness, grief, or frustration- can lead to physical stress on the body (HCF, 2022). It’s often difficult to talk about our struggles and for some people, verbal expression is so much harder. However, creativity has proven to be a great outlet for less verbal expressors who are struggling with grief and their mental health. As someone who personally identifies with this, my goal was to create an organisation that advocates for creative forms of non-verbal therapy. My goal is to uplift individuals and help them discover healthier ways to release their emotions. Blossom is all about progression, healing and clarity.

The visual identity of Blossom centres on expressing a vibrant, artsy, and passionate spirit. It’s crafted for a family-friendly audience of kids (7+), teens, and adults, with an inclusive and uplifting vibe. The brand's name and purpose stems from the natural process of growth and transformation, just like that of a blooming flower.
The art direction from it’s textures, colour and patterns are inspired by moods and auras, incorporating expressive paint strokes for a personal and creative touch. The Blossom typography features a wave effect that embodies the easygoing, lightweight tone of the brand, reflecting the uplifting power of creative expression and the natural, unpredictable flow of emotions.

The Blossom self-therapy app is for use on the go. It's centered around more of our Gen Z/Young millennial audience who use their phones for most tasks but are also time-poor and commuting to and from work/university.
The Self-therapy app includes prompts to encourage you to write and draw as an emotional outlet.
